13 Non-Chinese ESL Companies for Teaching English Online

Everyone has heard the news about the crackdowns in China regarding Foreign teachers. Some of the news is exaggerated, while some of it is very real. Nonetheless, don’t worry too much. This is just another speed bump for the market and more companies will magically appear because when there is a demand for the work, there is an opportunity for money to be made.

Why look outside of China for online English teaching opportunities?

Well, let’s be honest. Most of the companies that offered jobs for teaching English online in China kinda sucked.

Firstly, the schedule was incredibly difficult for anybody in North America. You’d be starting classes at around 9 pm and could go as late as 4 or 5 am. That wasn’t ideal in the long run.

Also, Chinese platforms started running almost every corner of the ESL markets. It’s good to give other countries a chance and see what they have to offer in comparison. Hopefully, we will see some extra tolerance for the non-native English speakers across the globe that are crowding into the field.

With this being said, I must say we will all miss the salaries from China. On average they did pay more than most other companies. As we all know, money talks.

Get TEFL certified today so you can go abroad and start your adventure. Great job placement, great experience, and great memories.

Without further ado, let’s look at 13 non-chinese ESL companies that you can teach English online for.
